Employing over 450 staff globally, they focus on manufacturing and commercialising branded and generic pharmaceuticals, offering a robust portfolio spanning dermatology, women’s health and more. With a clear growth agenda in place, an opportunity now exists for a commercially astute People and Culture leader.

Reporting to the General Manager Australia, the Head of Human Resources is an integral role with the Australian Leadership Team and is responsible for aligning business units, influencing stakeholders and leading a small team to plan, develop and direct human resource strategies, policies and practices. An immediate priority will be to consult with people leaders and business managers to understand priorities and challenges in order to gain a longer-term view to developing and achieving a People & Culture strategy that tightly links with corporate goals and objectives. Providing support to people leaders and business managers, you will achieve a dynamic – high performing culture through building capabilities and accountability.

With tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, you will be an innovative HR leader and have a proven track record building and maintaining strong relationships with executive teams, employees and external stakeholders. With demonstrated commercial acumen, you will be proactive and enjoy contributing at a strategic level. Broad experience will have given you the knowledge of what ‘good looks like’ to influence organisational development, including developing retention strategies and enhancing employee engagement. You will have previous experience successfully operating in a manufacturing environment with employees covered by an enterprise agreement and have knowledge of contemporary HR practice and relevant legislation.
