Lockheed Martin Australia, is a leading Australian company employing more than 1,200 people nationally, working on a wide range of major programs spanning the aerospace, defence and civil sectors. Their diverse programs form a critical backbone of Australia’s current and future defence capabilities including the Future Submarine Program, Aegis Combat System, Joint Strike Fighter and AIR6500 among many others. With their rapid delivery, continuous evolution and innovation, there are newly created opportunities to work hand in hand with the Finance and Business Operations team to lead financial aspects of both day-to-day and strategic program operations.

These opportunities exist within the Rotary Mission Systems (RMS) business unit, with overall responsibility for leading the development of financial strategies that drive portfolio growth and deliver program performance. Working alongside the business line senior leadership team, you will be the finance lead providing a range of advisory services including program controls, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting and monitoring current program performance. Liaising directly with customers and key subcontractors, working on new business opportunities, bids and pricing strategies, you will oversee the financial commitments for successful program execution. A strategic advisor, you will put together complex financial responses, to ensure bids are competitive, including subcontractor engagements, to ensure a long-term view of business growth and customer delivery.

A highly experienced finance professional and strategically focused, you will have evolved financial and business acumen in an engineering or project environment, where you have achieved success with contractual compliance, cost management, financial analysis and proposal development. Defence industry experience desirable, you will have experience with schedules and budgets, leading multi-disciplinary teams and the ability to produce complex reporting. The ability to think and act both strategically and tactically, you will thrive on the looking ahead, with the ability to extend existing business and improve systems and procedures.
