Lead and shape the quality and safety function for the Aerobond Group, working across the growing aviation & defence sectors.
Aerobond Group is an advanced sustainment and manufacturing company working in the aviation, defence and space sectors, offering specialist component services to the military, commercial operators and OEM’s. As a privately owned organisation, Aerobond services a broad range of blue-chip aviation and defence clients across Australia and the Asia Pacific region including Qantas, Jetstar, Virgin, Alliance, Kongsberg and Boeing. With the establishment of a new 3,500 square metre facility in Woodville, in addition to their hanger at Adelaide Airport, Aerobond is experiencing organic growth due to increased demand for their speciality services.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this role is responsible for overseeing the quality and safety function of the business. With a focus on continuous improvement, you will evaluate and strengthen the performance of the Quality Management Systems and Safety Management System, conduct internal audits to ensure compliance and lead the review and improvement of quality manuals and documentation. Additionally, you will coordinate and oversee external audits, identify and manage hazards, promote safety awareness and facilitate and deliver training to meet quality and safety standards. The role also influences strategic decision-making to shape the future of the organisation's quality and safety philosophy and vision.
A certified Lead Auditor, you will have knowledge of CASA Part 145 and CASA Production regulations, ISO9001, AS9100, AS9110, preferably in an aviation, defence or engineering environment. As a hands-on operator, with a strong track record of success in identifying areas for improvement and implementing data-driven solutions, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment. Bringing a blend of operational expertise and strategic thinking, you will be a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a safety-first mindset. You will have demonstrated stakeholder management skills and a passion for excellence in aviation, defence or space sustainment and manufacturing.
