The South Australian Wine Industry Association (SAWIA) is recognised as the peak body for wine makers and grape growers in South Australia. Operating since 1840, SAWIA represents members ranging from family-owned boutique wineries to large-scale operations. Their mission is to provide valuable resources, advocacy and solutions on a wide range of topics including industrial relations, work health and safety (WHS), environment and liquor licensing. This practical and supportive guidance helps members prosper in an ever-evolving global wine market.
Reporting to the Business Services Manager and supported by the Business & Workplace Adviser, this unique role combines the provision of expert advice to members through education, training and consultancy. You will be required to engage directly with the broad scope of members, responding to a range of enquiries, providing expert advice relating to HR and WHS matters, including employee entitlements, performance and termination, enterprise agreements, risk assessments, WHS duties and legislative change.
A public facing role, you will be an energetic, self-driven and experienced HR and WHS practitioner, with demonstrated experience in the interpretation of multiple industrial instruments and the ability to translate complex information into usable and practical advice. A respectful and collaborative professional, you will be a natural born problem solver who thrives in an environment where the pace and complexity can change rapidly. Your advisory style will be flexible to accommodate differing audiences whilst also being considerate of promoting the membership, services and products of SAWIA. Significant experience in a HR business partnering role, will be complemented by superior written and verbal communication skills.
