Lead a newly created shared services team in a business of over 1,600 employees.

SA Water provides services across the state to support economic development, growth and opportunity. With a focus on culture and a commitment toward achieving collaborative business objectives, this newly created role is part of the people and safety team that supports a centre of HR operational excellence.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager People Operations and leading a team of five employees, you will be responsible for leading a newly created shared services team. The team will be responsible for providing advice to employees and managers regarding policies, procedures and Enterprise Agreements as well as embedding HR systems across the employee lifecycle in a newly created shared services model. You will be across the business of over 1,600 employees to find out what systems are working and how data and systems can be more effectively utilised and embedded across the organisation. Working closely with the IT department, you will engage in research and analysis of HR systems to enhance operational efficiencies. You will be leading change management activities including cross training teams, stakeholder and employee engagement and implementing automation initiatives.

Being an experienced HR professional in a shared services environment, you will have the ability to interpret policies, procedures and Enterprise Agreements in large and complex organisations. With relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline, you will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to offer solutions to complex human resources challenges. A naturally proactive person, you will have strong influencing skills, with the ability to clearly articulate best practice and contemporary HR principles.
