General Manager, Operations
- Executive Leadership Opportunity with Meaningful Impact
- Leading On-Country Commercial Services and Sustainable Growth
- Empower Indigenous Community and Capability to Drive Success
Drive progress and contribute to lasting change, leading operational excellence and building sustainable futures for the Kokatha people.
With a vision to improve the lives of Kokatha people, the Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation (KAC) manages the native title rights and interests of the Common Law Holders. Through a strong economic foundation, KAC is delivering long-term independence by creating employment, education and enterprise opportunities, career pathways and self-development opportunities for current and future generations. KAC is growing its capability as a leading Indigenous services corporation, delivering outcomes through mining services, pastoral operations and heritage programs.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the General Manager, Operations will lead KAC’s day-to-day operations and strategy across its key business units, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant delivery of services, while building the organisation’s operational and financial sustainability. As a member of the Executive Management Team, the GM partners closely with the CEO to set direction, align priorities and deliver results that strengthen KAC’s community and commercial impact.
This pivotal leadership role oversees managers across Mining Services, Pastoral Stations Management and Heritage Services, driving integration, accountability and continuous improvement. The GM will establish clear operational plans and performance rhythms, embed robust processes and ensure transparent financial and risk management. A key focus will be on developing people capability, building a high-performance culture and creating career pathways for Kokatha people through partnerships with industry, government and community stakeholders.
A strategic, values-driven leader with executive experience in operations management within complex, multi-service/multi-contract organisations, you’ll bring strong commercial and compliance acumen, proven capability in people leadership and a deep respect for Aboriginal cultural authority and engagement. Outstanding communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills are essential, along with a collaborative, hands-on leadership style and cultural humility. Experience working with Aboriginal communities and within the mining services, heritage, land management or related sectors will be highly desirable.
This is an opportunity to drive progress and contribute to lasting change — leading operational excellence and building sustainable futures for the Kokatha people.
