With a vision to improve the lives of Kokatha people, the Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation (KAC) manages the native title rights and interests of the Common Law Holders. Through a strong economic foundation, KAC is delivering long-term independence by creating employment, education and enterprise opportunities, career pathways and self-development opportunities for current and future generations.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will have a clear mandate to lead investment attraction and diversification, business development and community-focused enterprise growth. In this role, you will bring expertise in identifying and maximising commercial opportunities, analysing viability and impact, managing complex stakeholder networks and preparing critical tender submissions and proposals. While identifying and cultivating strategic opportunities across multiple industry sectors (including core relationships with existing partners such as BHP), your role will be showcase the community’s unique and broad potential, while fostering ongoing partnerships that deliver tangible long-term outcomes for the Kokatha community. An understanding of native title processes, governance and the importance of cultural integrity in business is essential. Given KAC’s current commercial portfolio, a background in mining services or heavy industry would be highly advantageous.
A seasoned executive, you will have demonstrated experience in economic development, business strategy and team leadership, preferably with a tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Management or similar. You will bring a strong capacity for data-informed decision-making, financial oversight and compliance management, combined with an ability to mentor and coach local staff.
