- Lead Strategic Program Delivery with Cross-Functional Impact
- Drive Safety Excellence in High-Risk Environments
- Be a Catalyst for Critical Risk Culture Change
A rare opportunity to optimise your risk assessment capability to make a significant and measurable impact in a challenging and high-risk environment.
SA Power Networks (SAPN) is a leader in South Australia’s energy industry, responsible for delivering electricity to over 1.7 million customers as the state’s sole electricity distributor. It’s about more than simply keeping the power on – SAPN is an innovator, focussed on connecting South Australians to a better energy future, today. With a workforce of over 2900, the business operates in high-risk environments where keeping everyone safe is a core value. As a self-insured organisation that deeply cares for their people, SAPN has significant responsibility to uphold the highest standards in safety systems, culture and leadership.
The Fatal Hazard & Critical Control (FHCC) Program Manager will lead the strategic design and delivery of SAPN’s FHCC program. This role is instrumental in strengthening safety culture and ensuring the most serious risks across operations are consistently identified, managed and mitigated.
Reporting to the Head of Safety, Wellbeing and Environment, and working closely with the FHCC Steering Committee, the Program Manager will coordinate the delivery of key workstreams, monitor performance against defined milestones and facilitate collaboration across stakeholders from Safety, Operations, Asset Management, Change and Communications. You will ensure that FHCC program objectives are clearly defined, implementation is tracked and evaluated, and outcomes are effectively transitioned into a business-as-usual capability.
Your ability to translate strategy into actionable program delivery—while influencing leaders across the organisation—will be critical. You'll strengthen and support internal governance, deliver regular reporting to executive-level stakeholders and ensure aligned, risk-informed decisions that protect people and the business.
With a deep understanding of critical control frameworks in high-risk industries, you are a program delivery specialist with operational expertise or project management credentials and proven experience managing complex, enterprise-wide safety or risk programs. You will have strong communication and consultation skills and credibility to engage stakeholders around risk across operational, technical and leadership domains.
This is a rare opportunity to optimise your risk assessment capability to make a significant and measurable impact in a challenging and high-risk environment.
