Lutheran Homes Group (LHG) is a profit-for-purpose organisation that provides a range of retirement living, home care and residential aged care services to South Australians. LHG cares for approximately 1,600 residents and clients, supported by over 1200 staff and volunteers, generating revenue in excess of $90 million. An experienced Deputy Chief Financial Officer (DCFO) is now sought to shape the financial future of an organisation as they explore significant growth opportunities, including potential acquisitions, a digital transformation to modernise systems and improve service delivery, including the refurbishment and redevelopment of key sites and facilities.
  
As DCFO, you will be responsible for developing and inspiring a high performing finance team along with overseeing the company’s financial strategy, ensuring strong fiscal management and driving sustainable growth. You will lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, while managing risk, compliance, and reporting to key stakeholders. Collaborating with executive leadership, you will provide operational and commercial insights to optimise business performance and investment decisions. Additionally, you will foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement, ensuring that finance is a trusted business partner across the organisation.
  
A CA/CPA qualified leader, you will bring exceptional coaching and mentoring skills to empower your team to drive excellence in financial management. You will play a critical role in shaping a finance function that is proactive, innovative and deeply aligned with the organisation's strategic goals. Preferably you will have prior experience of working within a highly regulated environment and a proven track record of collaborating with executive teams and Boards. You will have a solid understanding of financial forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and risk management, along with experience in managing complex financial systems, with knowledge of aged care sector regulations, financial compliance, and governance standards being desirable. Additionally, experience with acquisitions, property development and digital transformation initiatives will be highly advantageous.
