Reporting to the Diocesan Financial Administrator (Chief Operating Officer), the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide strategic financial leadership across the Archdiocese. This role is responsible for overseeing governance, risk management, insurance, budgeting, financial reporting, internal audit and continuous improvement initiatives. The CFO will work closely with senior leaders to ensure financial compliance, sustainability and best practice, while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and operational excellence. This role also involves supporting key governance bodies, including the Diocesan Finance Council and its subcommittees, and playing a pivotal role in long-term strategic planning and risk management.

The successful candidate will be a values-driven, CPA/CA qualified finance professional with significant senior leadership experience in large, complex and regulated environments. Proven expertise in financial governance, strategic planning, risk management, and insurance is essential, as is the ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a commitment to service and ethical leadership, are vital to this role. Experience in the not-for-profit, education, religious or community adjacent sectors will be highly regarded.
